This page explains how logging in to the HorizonXI Wiki works.

Logging in

The wiki uses your Discord account to log you in; there are no wiki passwords.

1. Click Sign In with Discord at the top of any page.
2. Discord asks whether to let the HorizonXI Wiki know who you are. Click Authorize. Discord asks this only once; after that it sends you straight back.
3. You're back on the page you were on, logged in.

The wiki learns only your Discord user ID, which it uses to recognize you next time. It doesn't see your email address, and it doesn't keep your Discord username.

If you use a script blocker such as NoScript, allow discord.com: Discord's own login page needs JavaScript.

The new login (October 2026)

In October 2026 the wiki switched to a new way of logging in with Discord, and everyone was logged out once. Your first login since then links your Discord account to your wiki account for good, so changing your Discord username later won't affect it.

Most people land in the same account as before. A few may not:

• You're logged in, but to an account you don't recognize, often your old name with a number on the end (such as Name 1). This happens if your Discord username changed since you last logged in, or if someone else had already used the account name your Discord username would give.
• Your old account looks empty, or your edits are missing, for the same reason.

Nothing has been lost: your old account and its edits are still there. Ask us to move your login back to it (see below).

Account names for new players

A new account is named after your Discord username, with its first letter capitalized and any _ turned into -: some_user becomes Some-user.

Getting help

Join the wiki's Discord server and ping @hugin8484 or @starfox9507. Tell us:

• the account name you're logged in as now, and
• the account name you used before (or a page you edited with it).

We'll link your Discord account back to your old wiki account.

Error messages

"This login didn't finish where it started…"

The login started in one browser or app and came back in another, took too long, or was used twice. Open the wiki in your web browser and log in again.

"Login was cancelled on Discord…"

You pressed Cancel on Discord's screen. Log in again and click Authorize.

"Discord couldn't be reached…"

Try again in a minute. If it keeps happening, let us know.

"Your Discord username can't be used as a wiki account name…"

Ask us for help (see above).
