Pumpkin Mandy

Pumpkin Mandys drop random candy drops at around 5% drop rate.

Pumpkin King

Spawn Locations

East Ronfaure (G-8)
West Ronfaure (H-6)
North Gustaberg (L-7)
South Gustaberg (K-9)
East Sarutabaruta (H-12)
West Sarutabaruta (J-8), inside Rose Tower

Pumpkin King spawns in one of the starter zones from killing the Pumpkin Mandys approx. 1hr after it's previous death. The ToD is shared between zones and not seperate for every of the six zones.

Theory is, every zone has a potential placeholder Pumpkin Mandy. The King spawns in the zone that killed the placeholder first.

Upon spawning, you will see a message, "The Pumpkin King has appeared to defend its kin."
- Spams Dream Flower with a range of 30 yalms. The duration seems random, up to a maximum of 30 seconds.
- Pumpkin King's HP are reduced from last year's event.
- Player attacks only deal 1 damage per hit.
- When you engage Pumpkin King he will sync you to lvl 5. If you did not get synced upon hitting it, you need to zone in order to apply the Level Sync effect (bug?).

Rewards

Defeating the Pumpkin King grants a magicite shard, which doesn't appear in your inventory.
- You will still get the magicite even if you are dead.
Speak to the Rewards Moogle after defeating the Pumpkin King to receive your reward and 1 random Colored drop. There is no need to "save up" wins, you can talk to the Reward Moogles after every kill.

Table below shows the number of kills to receive the rewards.

The EXP reward is 1000 EXP per 12 hours.

Dialogue after defeating Pumpkin King:

You have calmed the spirit of the Pumpkin King.... For now... Amongst the remains of the now slain beast, you see a flicker of light. Upon closer examination it appears to be a fragment of magicite. Perhaps the moogles will know what to do with it."

Dialogue after speaking to Rewards Moogle:

Interesting... This doesn't bode well. I should talk to the Archduke of Jeuno... In the meantime - Take this for all your hard work, kupo!

Trick or Treat

NOTE: There is an invisible 15 minute cooldown inbetween trades! (cooldown is per character and not per account)

If you trade event NPC's before the 15 minutes is up you will only transform into a costume of a mob and no event item will be rewarded.

Get yourself any kind of sweets such as Ginger Cookie and trade it to the special Treat NPC:

Wizard Cookie does NOT work.

There is also a chance that you will be put in a costume.

wear Trick Staff -> get Treat Staff
wear Trick Staff II -> get Treat Staff II

Trade sweets until you get an item on the left. If going for an item on the left, wear NO HALLOWEEN ITEMS. If going for an item on the right (HQ item), wear ONLY THE CORRESPONDING item from the left.

PS: Ginger cookies are 11 Gil each from the conquest victory NPC Valeriano, who resides in the city that leads the Conquest (1st place).

These are regular NPCs but they are wearing costumes.

Attempted speaking to Olwyn while wearing a costume effect from a trick NPC trade, no response
Attempted speakingt to 2 NPC's in Windurst Waters while wearing the same costume as them, no response.

Costumes of Event Participants

In 2026, some NPCs seem to not wear costumes anymore. Verification is needed if this is related to any event happenings in 2026 (or bug?). It is also not verified if there are any other/new NPCs with costumes this year.
